during internship at Afdeling Buitengewone Zaken
For Gemeente Rotterdam we worked on a project to let people in Rotterdam explore new sites of the city to keep them in the city longer. Within the project we focussed on families with young children, between the age of 6 and 10. We set up a treasure hunt that asked the children to find Rotjeknor and his friends. This route led them to the Strips! Museum in the Maritime District, where they could also pick up a reward. Throughout the trail, children got different assignments to perform whenever they found one of Rotjeknor’s friends, while the kids and their parents also learned something about the city.
For this project, I was involved in the design research for the concept, the graphic design, and user research.
This project was part of my BSc internship at Afdeling Buitengewone Zaken, where I was supervised by Gordon Tiemstra, Jan Belon, Jop Japenga and Jeffrey Braun. Photos by myself and colleagues at Afdeling Buitengewone Zaken.
